Role description
Blockfort is a strategic Agentic AI implementation partner. We work with organisations to design, deploy, and hand over production-ready autonomous AI agents — framed as Non-Player Characters — that integrate directly into their operations and leave their teams with the fluency to manage and extend them independently. We don't deliver black-box solutions or create dependency. Our model is built around knowledge transfer, tangible outcomes, and giving organisations genuine working capability over the AI systems they adopt. We are a Glueball Technologies company, and we're growing the team that delivers this work at the ground level. The Role We are looking for an NPC Systems Specialist to own the design, deployment, and optimisation of AI-powered agent and NPC systems across client environments — and to conduct structured assessments for organisations evaluating intelligent agent adoption. This is a dual-track role: part hands-on builder, part strategic analyst. You will work directly with clients, shape delivery methodology, and contribute to how we think about intelligent agent architecture long-term. Responsibilities Agent & NPC Design • Design and configure intelligent AI agents and NPC systems tailored to client environments • Develop conversational flows, memory structures, behavioural logic, and interaction models • Integrate agent systems into client workflows, tooling, and operational infrastructure • Test, iterate, and optimise for reliability, responsiveness, and interaction quality • Work across voice, multimodal, and retrieval-based AI systems as required Enterprise Assessment • Evaluate organisational readiness for intelligent agent deployment • Assess technical feasibility, scalability, governance, and operational risk • Identify integration opportunities across customer-facing and internal operational systems • Produce clear, structured assessment reports and actionable recommendations • Analyse infrastructure requirements, long-term maintainability, and compliance considerations Strategic Contribution • Help build internal frameworks and reusable deployment methodologies • Document operational patterns and lessons learned across engagements • Contribute thinking on AI orchestration, memory systems, and agent architecture • Play an active role in shaping how we work as the team grows What You'll Bring Required • Hands-on experience with AI agent platforms, conversational AI, or NPC systems • Familiarity with LLM orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or similar) • Understanding of conversational design and agent workflow architecture • Comfortable working with APIs, automation tools, and system integrations • Strong systems thinker — able to hold technical and operational complexity simultaneously • Clear communicator with non-technical stakeholders Valuable • Experience with vector databases, retrieval systems, or memory architectures • Voice AI or multimodal systems • Multi-agent system design • AI governance and compliance awareness • Python, Node.js, or workflow automation • Enterprise systems integration background • Game AI or virtual character experience Who This Is For You're someone who finds intelligent agent systems genuinely interesting — not just as a job but as a space. You're comfortable with ambiguity, fast-moving environments, and work that doesn't have a template yet. You can prototype quickly, think at a systems level, and communicate clearly across technical and non-technical audiences. Experience matters more than credentials here. • Compensation £400–£600 per day, depending on experience.
