Role description
Participate in the domain technical and business discussions related to future architect direction. Assist in the analysis, design and development of a roadmap and implementation based upon a current vs. future state in a cohesive architecture viewpoint. Gather and analyze data and develop architectural requirements at project level. Participate in the infrastructure architecture governance model. Support design and deployment of infrastructure solutions meeting standardization, consolidation, TCO, security, regulatory compliance and application system qualities, for different businesses. Research and evaluate emerging technology, industry, and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities. Coach and mentor team members. Must Haves: Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college OR Associate degree with minimum of 3 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 5 years of professional experience Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. GE Aerospace will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job. Resources need to have US Citizenship with necessary government clearance to work in our Military Closed spaces · Use of UFUNC and NX-Open APIs for development of custom CAD applications, with focus on architecting reusable code components with good knowledge of .NET & MFC. · Good hands-on exposure to NX-Open API development with NX manager, ITK / SOA programming. · Strong knowledge of C / C++ & C#. · Good knowledge of various NX modules like Modelling, Assemblies, Drafting. · Basic knowledge of Teamcenter. · Good knowledge of scripting languages e.g., CGI, Perl, Python · Good hands-on exposure working with IDE (Visual Studio, Eclipse) · Ability to translate design intent into NX-Open API program in a TC integrated environment. · Ability to work across multiple time zones · Ability to attend project status calls and report on status Plus: · Knowledge of Model Based Design, CAD/PLM software technologies and Manufacturing concepts. · Basic knowledge of Computational Geometry concepts/application. · Basic understanding of Teamcenter Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) configuration and customization. · Understanding of SCRUM process and AGILE way of working. · Knowledge of SDLC processes and test-driven development · Basic understanding of database technologies, SQL, Spotfire and other visualization tools · Skilled level expertise in design of cloud solutions to meet business application system qualities. · Understands technical and business discussions related to future architecture direction aligning with business goals. · Understands concepts of software deployments and configurations · Knowledge of license management services and technology · Intermediate Linux/Unix experience · Familiar with automation techniques and tools. · Understands how to adapt applications on cloud computing platforms to drive cloud adoption. · Understanding key cross-functional concepts that impact the organization; is aware of business priorities and organizational dynamics. · Delivers tasks on-time with alignment to architectural goals. · Can identify and raise issues, risks, and benefits. · Participates in change initiatives by implementing new directions and providing appropriate information and feedback. · Apply values, policies, procedures, and precedents to make timely, routine decisions of limited, clear choice. · Resolves day-to-day issues related to strategy implementation. · Escalates issues that impact the client and/or strategic initiatives. · Reacts open-mindedly to new perspectives or ideas. · Consider different or unusual solutions when appropriate.
