ODM Consultant

Job Description Title : Java ODM Developer, Location: Remote, Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled Java ODM Developer to design, implement, and manage business rules using IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM). The ideal candidate will have strong Java development experience and a solid understanding of rule-based decision systems and integration with enterprise applications Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and deploy business rules using IBM ODM / ILOG JRules. • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate business requirements into executable rules. • Integrate ODM with Java-based applications, APIs, and databases. • Manage and optimize the Decision Center and Rule Execution Server environments. • Write and maintain rule flows, decision tables, and scorecards. • Perform unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning of rules. • Participate in release management and production deployment activities. • Document business rules, technical design, and integration details. • Support and maintain existing rulesets and troubleshoot production issues. Required Skills and Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. • 7 years of experience in Java/J2EE development. • 2+ years of hands-on experience with IBM ODM / ILOG JRules (Rule Designer, Decision Center, RES). • Strong understanding of SOA, REST/SOAP Web Services, and Spring Framework. • Experience with rule authoring, testing, and governance in ODM. • Familiarity with decision modeling (DMN) and business process management (BPM) concepts. • Proficiency in Eclipse IDE, Maven, Git, and Jenkins. • Strong analytical and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with IBM BPM or other business automation tools. • Knowledge of cloud-based ODM deployments (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud). • Familiarity with Kubernetes / Docker for ODM containerization. • IBM ODM certification (a plus).
