Role description
Job title: ODM Developer Location: Remote Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire Duration: 3–6 Months About the Role We are seeking a highly experienced ODM Developer to join our Enterprise Decisioning and Automation team. This is a hands-on development role focused on designing, building, and deploying decision services using IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM). The ideal candidate will be a self-sufficient developer who can gather requirements directly from business stakeholders, create rulebooks and decision logic from scratch, and independently deliver enterprise-grade solutions. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and implement decision services using IBM Operational Decision Manager (ODM). • Create and maintain business rules, rulebooks, and object models aligned with business requirements. • Configure and support Decision Center and Rule Execution Server environments. • Work directly with business teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions independently. • Integrate decision services with enterprise applications, APIs, and automation platforms. • Support rule deployments, monitoring, reporting, and execution tracking. • Participate in CI/CD processes and follow best practices for rule lifecycle management. • Develop and maintain alerts, monitoring, and dashboards using enterprise monitoring tools. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business partners, developers, and offshore teams. • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and development best practices. Mandatory Skills & Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. • 8+ years of hands-on IBM ODM development experience. • Strong experience with: • IBM ODM Rule Designer • Decision Center • Rule Execution Server (RES) • ODM implementation and development • Experience building decision services and business rules from scratch. • Strong understanding of SOA and API-based architectures. • Experience working with containerized platforms and cloud environments. • Experience with JUnit, Decision Runner, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and CI/CD pipelines. • Experience with application monitoring, alerting, and dashboarding solutions. • Experience using AI-assisted development tools. • Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills. Preferred Skills • Experience with IBM BAM OE. • Exposure to IBM Automation Decision Services (ADS). • Experience with IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation. • Familiarity with WatsonX Orchestrate or similar orchestration platforms. • Healthcare industry experience. • Experience supporting enterprise AI and automation initiatives. • Experience enabling business users on decision management platforms.
