Role description
Position: OSS Contributors (CTO / Founders) Type: Hourly contract Compensation: $130–$200/hour Location: Remote Commitment: Flexible Role Responsibilities: • Authorize and enable limited, secure access to selected portions of your organization’s codebase for AI evaluation and (if agreed) training. • Curate high-value code datasets by selecting representative modules and masking secrets or sensitive data. • Design realistic evaluation tasks based on real production workflows (e.g., refactors, bug fixes, feature changes, tests). • Develop or guide test harnesses, scoring criteria, and evaluation frameworks aligned with real engineering constraints. • Analyze model performance on your codebase, identify failure modes, and suggest architecture-aligned improvements. • Collaborate on compliance, security, and data handling processes, including access control and auditability. Requirements: • Current or former CTO or Founder with authority to grant access to a production or OSS codebase. • Ability to provide a time-boxed, purpose-limited license for evaluation (and optional training by agreement). • Deep understanding of system architecture, tooling, and engineering standards. • Proficiency in one or more major programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C/C++, JavaScript, TypeScript). • Experience collaborating asynchronously with technical teams. • Active contributor to open-source software.
