Role Description This is a contract remote role for an OpenText AppWorks Developer located in the United Kingdom. The developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting applications using OpenText AppWorks, collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate digital solutions, and ensuring the stability and performance of the application environment. Responsibilities also include maintaining documentation, optimizing application functionalities, and supporting the cloud transformation initiatives. Active SC Clearance is mandatory. • Develop and configure applications using OpenText AppWorks platform (formerly Cordys). • Design, build, and maintain BPM workflows, case management solutions, and form-based applications. • Integrate AppWorks with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs and other connectors. • Support solution design, technical documentation, and deployment activities. • Troubleshoot issues and optimize performance of AppWorks solutions. • Work closely with business analysts, solution architects, and testers to deliver high-quality outcomes. • Ensure all work complies with security and governance standards relevant to SC-cleared environments. Required Skills and Experience • Proven experience developing solutions on OpenText AppWorks (or legacy Cordys/BPM platform). • Strong understanding of BPM, case management, web services, and data modeling. • Hands-on experience with JavaScript, XML, XSLT, and SQL. • Knowledge of OpenText Extended ECM, Documentum, or Content Server is an advantage. • Familiarity with Agile delivery practices and DevOps principles. • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. • Active SC clearance (mandatory). Desirable • Experience integrating AppWorks with SAP, Salesforce, or other ERP/CRM systems. • Exposure to containerisation or cloud deployment (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure). • OpenText certification or equivalent credentials.
