Role description
We are looking for an experienced OpenText Documentum Developer to join our team in a hybrid capacity (Reston VA or Plano TX preferred). This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise content management (ECM) solutions using OpenText Documentum. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in Java and Python development, API integration, AWS cloud services, and Agile methodologies. You will play a key role in platform upgrades, system migrations, and ensuring the stability and scalability of content management systems.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• 7+ years of hands-on experience with Documentum components such as Content Server, D2 (Classic, Config, Smart View), Brava, CTS, xPlore, and DFC Client.
• At least 2 years of experience building REST APIs using the Spring Framework, ideally within ECM environments.
• Proficient in Java and Python with a solid grasp of object-oriented design and software architecture.
• Comfortable using Git, Jenkins, Jira, IntelliJ, Tomcat/J2EE, and relational databases.
• Familiar with unit testing, code coverage, CI/CD pipelines, vulnerability management, and system monitoring.
• 3+ years working with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, RDS, ALB, SSM, SQS, SNS, Lambda, and AWS SDK. Able to troubleshoot deployments and review configurations and security policies.
• Strong understanding of Agile Scrum practices including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Able to clearly articulate technical concepts and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time, tasks, and priorities independently.
• Preferred: Certifications in AWS, Documentum, or Java.
