Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Operations Data Analyst – Expert to support operational and strategic decision-making initiatives for PG&E. The ideal candidate will transform complex datasets into clear, actionable insights and effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Insights
Analyze operational data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
Provide timely and accurate responses to ad hoc and recurring data requests
Translate analytical findings into actionable business recommendations
Data Management & Integration
Collect, clean, validate, and integrate data from multiple enterprise systems
Extract and analyze SAP data to support planning and forecasting
Develop automated reporting processes and data workflows
Reporting & Visualization
Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI
Perform advanced analytics and data modeling (Foundry experience preferred)
Utilize GIS tools for spatial analysis (preferred)
Support asset investment planning using Copperleaf (preferred)
Collaboration & Communication
Clearly communicate insights and assumptions to diverse stakeholders
Partner with cross-functional teams to define business requirements
Serve as a trusted analytical advisor to operational leaders
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field
5+ years of experience in data analytics or related role
Strong SQL skills and experience working with structured datasets
Proven experience building dashboards in Power BI
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Foundry
Knowledge of GIS tools
Experience working in utilities or asset management environments
Familiarity with SAP data extraction and analysis
