Optimizely Senior Developer or Technical Lead (Contract) Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Optimizely Senior Developer or Technical Lead to join our digital experience team. The ideal candidate will bring over a decade of experience in .NET development, with a strong focus on Optimizely CMS and modern digital solution development. This role involves leading cross-functional development teams, creating scalable solutions, and ensuring the successful delivery of enterprise-level digital projects. Key Responsibilities: • Lead the design, development, and deployment of web solutions using Optimizely CMS and Commerce. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define technical requirements and project goals. • Architect and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications using ASP.NET MVC, Web API, SQL Server, and related technologies. • Design and implement composable digital architectures, integrating headless CMS, microservices, and modern front-end frameworks. • Collaborate with front-end teams to deliver performant, SEO-friendly, and accessible user interfaces using React, Next.js, and Vercel. • Define and enforce best practices for API-first development, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native deployments. • Mentor and guide developers across backend and frontend stacks, fostering a culture of technical excellence. • Participate in client workshops and technical discovery sessions to shape solution architecture and delivery plans. • Ensure seamless integration between Optimizely and third-party services (e.g., DAM, CRM, PIM). • Stay up to date with emerging technologies in the composable DXP space and advocate for continuous improvement. • Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and ensure adherence to development standards. Required Qualifications: • 10+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on Microsoft technologies. • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Optimizely (Episerver) CMS and/or Commerce. • Proven experience managing teams of 4+ developers. • Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, Entity Framework, SQL Server, and front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, Bootstrap). • Solid understanding of headless CMS, API-first design, and microservices architecture. • Experience with Sitecore CMS is a plus. • Strong understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and Agile methodologies. • Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills. • Fluent in English with strong written and verbal communication. Preferred Qualifications: • Optimizely or Sitecore certification. • Experience working in international, distributed teams. • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
