Role description
Our Client a Global Insurance Company is seeking a Oracle Database Application Analyst.
We are seeking an Oracle Database Application Analyst with at least 2 years of experience to support a Financial Systems database team responsible for the data warehouse powering life insurance financial and valuation reporting. This role partners closely with business, finance, actuarial, and technology teams to deliver reliable reporting solutions and scalable database enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Maintain and enhance internal financial reporting database applications
β’ Support implementation and enhancements for new and existing life insurance products
β’ Automate reporting requirements and improve operational efficiency
β’ Ensure successful monthly data warehouse loads and data integrity
β’ Develop control processes and produce automated and ad hoc reporting
β’ Translate complex business and actuarial requirements into technical specifications
β’ Provide L2 and L3 production support for Oracle-based financial database applications
β’ Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders across business, finance, and technology
Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs degree with 2+ years in database application development or database administration
β’ Strong Oracle experience (11g/19c), including SQL, PL/SQL, SQLPlus, and SQLLoader
β’ Linux experience, including shell scripting
β’ Hands-on experience with TOAD
β’ Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, macros, data analysis)
β’ Familiarity with scheduling tools (ESP, Stonebranch UAC) preferred
β’ Exposure to MS Access and/or Python preferred
β’ Understanding of life insurance products or actuarial data environments is a plus
