We have an urgent requirement for Oracle Database Architect position with our client. Role: Oracle Database Architect Location: Albany, New York Duration: 12 Months Job ID: SLG - 19 - 11504 Client: NY State - Information Technology Services (ITS) Description This position will design and implement software solutions and ensure current and new technologies are effectively integrated to fulfill the business needs. Duties • Implementing Integrated Justice Portal standards related to database development • Utilize uses cases, business requirements documents, and flow diagrams to design complex relational databases • Follow all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) - analysis, design, testing, implementation, maintenance • Follow and contribute to agency standards and utilize industry best practices • Develop queries and stored procedures for data extraction, using SQL against databases; write complex efficient SQL • Perform ongoing support for production applications – including system monitoring, processing, user support, and performance tuning • Create, maintain, and deploy batch processes to support Gun Safety business processes • Research emerging technologies to improve current processes • Create data dictionaries and business glossaries Mandatory Requirements • Experience (15+ Years) • Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large-scale software system. Requirements • This is an 100% Onsite. • 84 months experience creating Views, Triggers, stored procedures, functions, and writing SQL in Oracle (12c or higher). • 84 months of experience using a data modeling tools such as ERWIN to create physical and logical data models, reverse engineer existing databases, and compare existing databases in Oracle (12c or higher). • 84 months of experience developing complex ETL processes using shell scripts (Korn, Bash, and Power Shell), SQL scripts, and PL/SQL. • 84 months of experience performing data analysis and creating reports for customers. • 84 months of experience optimizing SQL queries and debugging PL/SQL objects (packages, functions, and procedures). • 60 months of experience developing Korn shell and bash shell scripts in a Linux environment. • Résumé • Copy of Candidate Identification (i.e., Driver’s License/Green Card/Visa and Passport if applicable) • Any documents referenced in the above Requested Qualifications (i.e., professional certifications, degrees, etc.)
