Job Description:
This is not a traditional Business Intelligence or Dashboard Development position. Approximately 70–80% of the work involves writing Oracle SQL and PL/SQL directly against transactional databases. • Write simple and complex SQL queries from scratch against normalized Oracle transactional databases.
• Analyze business requirements and determine the appropriate tables, relationships, joins, and business rules needed to answer complex business questions.

• Develop and maintain automated SQL processes, scheduled database jobs, and recurring data refreshes.
• Troubleshoot SQL scripts, automated jobs, and data quality issues.
• Create efficient, reusable, and well-documented SQL code.
• Support recurring operational reports, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), legislative reporting, and research initiatives.
• Collaborate with business users to understand reporting needs and communicate analytical findings.
• Support Tableau dashboards and other data visualization initiatives as needed.
Skill Required-
• Oracle SQL development against transactional databases
• Writing complex SQL (joins, CTEs, subqueries, CASE, aggregate and analytic functions)
• Normalized relational database design and table relationships
• Oracle PL/SQL (procedures, functions, packages, views)
• SQL job scheduling and automated database processes
• SQL troubleshooting, query optimization, and data validation
• Translating business requirements into SQL solutions
• Operational reporting and data analysis
• Tableau or other data visualization software
• Criminal justice or other large transactional database environments
