Oracle EBS Techno-Functional Lead Field Service

Job Title Senior Oracle E-Business Suite Service Techno-Functional Lead (Service & Spare Parts) Project Context Trinamix is implementing an analytics solution leveraging Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) as the source system, focused on Service Operations and Spare Parts Management. We are seeking a senior Oracle EBS Service expert who can lead the functional and technical aspects of EBS while also operating as a Business Analyst and workstream-level Project Lead. This role is EBS-heavy. Power BI exposure is helpful but not primary. Role Summary The ideal candidate is: • Deeply experienced in Oracle EBS Service modules • Comfortable writing SQL and navigating the EBS data model • Strong in business requirement gathering • Structured enough to manage project delivery • Able to reconcile transactional data with finance • Comfortable speaking with Service leadership This person will act as the EBS authority on the project. Core Responsibilities 1️⃣ Oracle EBS Service Functional Ownership Must have strong hands-on experience in: • Oracle Field Service • Depot Repair • Installed Base (CSI) • Service Contracts (OKS) • Inventory (INV) • Order Management (OM) • Advanced Pricing (if used for service billing) • Accounts Receivable (service invoicing flow) • BOM (if service kits involved) Responsibilities include: • Explain complete Service lifecycle in EBS • Map business processes to EBS transaction flows • Identify configuration dependencies • Validate setup related to service billing, warranties, RMAs • Ensure service revenue & parts revenue traceability • Analyze transaction flow from Service Request → Work Order → Parts Issue → Billing → AR 2️⃣ Technical (EBS Data Model & SQL) This is critical. Candidate must: • Understand key EBS tables for Service & Inventory • Identify source tables for reporting • Write complex SQL queries • Trace data lineage across modules • Reconcile transactional discrepancies • Validate data extraction logic • Perform data validation during UAT Examples of required table knowledge (indicative): • CSI_ITEM_INSTANCES • OKS_HEADERS / OKS_LINES • OE_ORDER_HEADERS / OE_ORDER_LINES • MTL_MATERIAL_TRANSACTIONS • RA_CUSTOMER_TRX\_ALL • WIP tables (if repair manufacturing involved) Must understand: • Subledger to GL flow • Revenue recognition impact • Deferred revenue scenarios (if applicable) 3️⃣ Business Analyst Responsibilities • Conduct requirement workshops • Document BRDs / FRDs • Translate KPIs into data requirements • Create process flow diagrams • Identify reporting gaps in EBS • Align business terminology with system logic • Manage stakeholder expectations • Lead UAT test case definition 4️⃣ Workstream Project Leadership • Own Service analytics workstream plan • Track deliverables and milestones • Identify risks & dependencies • Coordinate between: • Business users • IT • Data team • Finance • Drive status updates • Escalate blockers proactively • Ensure timelines are met This is not a pure PMP role — but the person must think like a delivery lead. Required Experience • 10–15+ years Oracle EBS experience • 7+ years in EBS Service modules • Strong SQL hands-on capability • Experience in manufacturing or high-tech service environments • Experience supporting reporting / analytics initiatives from EBS • Experience reconciling operational data with financial data Functional Depth Required Candidate must deeply understand: • Service lifecycle • Warranty management • Installed base tracking • Depot repair flows • Field service scheduling • Parts consumption tracking • Service contract billing models • Return Material Authorization (RMA) • Service margin analysis • Inventory costing impact Soft Skills & Leadership • Executive-level communication • Structured documentation style • Strong analytical thinking • Comfortable challenging business assumptions • Able to translate technical details into business language • Strong ownership mindset What This Role Is NOT • Not a Power BI developer • Not a generic Oracle Functional consultant • Not a pure Project Manager This role is a hands-on EBS Service SME who can think technically, functionally, and structurally. Ideal Candidate Profile Someone who has: • Led EBS Service implementations • Resolved complex Service transaction issues • Worked on spare parts and depot repair models • Supported post-go-live stabilization • Participated in audit or revenue reconciliation exercises
