Oracle Essbase Developer

Title: Oracle Essbase Developer Location: Pleasanton, CA/Dallas, TX/Coppell, TX/SFO, CA Onsite We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Essbase Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in Essbase and multidimensional database design to develop and maintain robust analytical solutions that empower our business stakeholders with actionable insights. You will be responsible for architecting complex Essbase applications and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with enterprise data sources. Responsibilities 1. Design, develop, and implement high-performance Essbase applications to support complex analytical requirements 1. Optimize existing Essbase applications for performance and scalability, utilizing advanced features and methodologies 1. Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications 1. Conduct thorough testing and validation of Essbase calculations and data integrity to ensure high-quality deliverables 1. Provide mentorship to junior developers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous improvement 1. Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance our analytical capabilities Qualifications 1. 6+ years of experience in Essbase development and administration. 1. Strong understanding of multidimensional database concepts and OLAP technologies. 1. Proven experience in building complex calculations and data models within Essbase. 1. Expertise in SQL and relational databases, with the ability to integrate with various data sources. 1. Experience with Oracle Hyperion Planning and other Oracle EPM tools. 1. Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI. 1. Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions and ETL processes. 1. Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies. 1. Advanced proficiency in Essbase, including calculation scripts and data load processes. 1. Strong SQL skills for querying and manipulating data. 1. Experience with data integration tools and ETL processes. 1. Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or Java is a plus. 1. Exceptional problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset. 1. Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 1. Proactive approach to identifying challenges and proposing innovative solutions. 1. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
