Role description
About Scrumconnect Consulting: Scrumconnect Consulting is a multi-award-winning digital consultancy, recognised for delivering impactful technology solutions across UK government departments. Our work has positively influenced the lives of over 40 million UK citizens. With a strong commitment to user-centred design and agile delivery, and more to deliver innovative digital services that matter. Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer with deep expertise in automation for Oracle Fusion applications, with a strong focus on ERP modules. This is a senior-level, hands-on role within a large-scale digital transformation program, where you will design, implement, and enhance scalable, maintainable, and high-quality test automation solutions. You will leverage Tosca’s advanced capabilities—including model-based testing, modular test case design, reusable business components, and Oracle-specific accelerators—to deliver robust test automation aligned with agile and DevOps practices. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain Tosca test automation frameworks tailored for Oracle Fusion ERP (and HCM, SCM if required). • Apply Tosca model-based testing, modular test design, and reusable component libraries to achieve high scalability and maintainability. • Utilize Oracle-specific Tosca accelerators to improve automation efficiency, accuracy, and adaptability. • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab), ensuring both per-commit and nightly execution coverage. • Develop resilient, self-healing scripts compatible with Redwood UX and quarterly Oracle updates. • Manage test data strategy, including synthetic data generation, GDPR compliance, and reusable datasets. • Maintain test traceability by mapping test cases to Jira stories, acceptance criteria, and business processes. • Follow Tosca best practices: version control, test data management, test case design, and virtualization. • Collaborate closely with development, product, and DevOps teams to ensure QA automation aligns with sprint and release objectives. Required Skills & Experience • Strong hands-on experience with Tosca: model-based testing, test case design, test data management, and business component reuse. • In-depth knowledge of Oracle Fusion ERP (experience with HCM and SCM modules is a plus). • Proven track record in building and enhancing enterprise-scale test automation frameworks. • Proficiency in CI/CD integration using GitLab or similar tools. • Experience with Jira for agile test planning and traceability. • Good knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL for backend validation. • Oracle Certified Associate in SQL/PLSQL (preferred or equivalent experience). • Strong understanding of modular and scalable automation design principles. Preferred Qualifications • Experience working in agile, DevOps-driven teams. • Familiarity with GDPR compliance and test data privacy best practices. • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities for automation issues. Diversity & Inclusion At Scrumconnect Consulting, we believe that diversity drives innovation. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where every individual is respected, valued, and supported.
