About the Role
The Client is seeking an experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer to support the ongoing development and modernization of Clarity, HGVβs core tour reservations system.
Clarity is a large, business-critical application built entirely in Oracle. Youβll play a key role in enhancing and maintaining this system while contributing to new web-based solutions that integrate with it.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Design, develop, and maintain complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, and triggers within Oracle databases.
β’ Collaborate with Product Managers and other developers to translate business requirements into efficient technical solutions.
β’ Contribute to front-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery to support web-based components within Oracle.
β’ Optimize and troubleshoot existing database logic for performance and scalability.
β’ Participate in system modernization initiatives and legacy system integration efforts.
β’ Communicate regularly with Product Managers and occasionally with business stakeholders to align on priorities and deliverables.
Required Skills & Experience
β’ 5+ years of professional experience as an Oracle PL/SQL Developer.
β’ Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, performance tuning, and query optimization.
β’ Experience building or supporting web software within Oracle (without APEX).
β’ Familiarity with front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery.
β’ Excellent communication and collaboration skillsβcomfortable working cross-functionally with product and business teams.
Nice to Have
β’ Experience working on large, complex, legacy Oracle systems.
β’ Knowledge of modernization projects or Oracle-based web applications.
β’ Exposure to integration projects following mergers or acquisitions.
