Oracle PL/SQL Developer

Title - Oracle PL/SQL Developer Location - Orlando, FL | Onsite About the Role The Client is seeking an experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer to support the ongoing development and modernization of Clarity, HGV’s core tour reservations system. Clarity is a large, business-critical application built entirely in Oracle. You’ll play a key role in enhancing and maintaining this system while contributing to new web-based solutions that integrate with it. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain complex PL/SQL packages, procedures, and triggers within Oracle databases. • Collaborate with Product Managers and other developers to translate business requirements into efficient technical solutions. • Contribute to front-end development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery to support web-based components within Oracle. • Optimize and troubleshoot existing database logic for performance and scalability. • Participate in system modernization initiatives and legacy system integration efforts. • Communicate regularly with Product Managers and occasionally with business stakeholders to align on priorities and deliverables. Required Skills & Experience • 5+ years of professional experience as an Oracle PL/SQL Developer. • Strong knowledge of Oracle database architecture, performance tuning, and query optimization. • Experience building or supporting web software within Oracle (without APEX). • Familiarity with front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills—comfortable working cross-functionally with product and business teams. Nice to Have • Experience working on large, complex, legacy Oracle systems. • Knowledge of modernization projects or Oracle-based web applications. • Exposure to integration projects following mergers or acquisitions.
