Role description
SALARY RANGE AND TOTAL COMPENSATION WILL BE DISCUSSED DURING THE BEGINNING STAGE. Primary Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain Oracle-based financial applications. • Support integration efforts with Florida PALM and FLAIR systems. • Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data integration processes to support application functionality and reporting requirements. • Develop and maintain PL/SQL scripts, stored procedures, and database packages. • Utilize Oracle Fusion Middleware for application deployment, security, and integration. • Ensure applications align with State of Florida accounting practices from a technical perspective. • Ensure applications meet data security and Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance standards. • Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements and implement solutions. • Ensure application performance, security, and compliance with Department and regulatory standards. Required Skills and Experience • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or another related field or equivalent work experience. • 5+ years of experience in application development using Oracle Forms, Oracle APEX, and PL/SQL. • Experience with Oracle Database development, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. • Proficiency in Oracle Fusion Middleware components (e.g., WebLogic Server, Oracle HTTP Server). • Experience integrating applications with enterprise financial systems such as Florida PALM and FLAIR. • Knowledge of State of Florida accounting practices from a technical implementation perspective. • Demonstrated experience ensuring PCI compliance in application development. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Skills and Experience • Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle PL/SQL Developer Certified Associate, Oracle APEX Developer, Oracle Middleware certifications). • Knowledge of the Florida Accounting Information Resource (FLAIR) or Florida PALM. • Experience with Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS). • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. • Experience with version control systems and CI/CD pipelines. • Knowledge of application and data security best practice. • Experience working in a government or public sector environment.
