Role description
Oracle SQL Developer / Data Engineer Location: Fully Remote / UK Rate: Competitive day rate (Outside IR35) Duration: Initial 6 months (likely extensions) Overview We are supporting a consultancy partner delivering a data initiative for a large UK enterprise organisation. As part of this engagement, they are looking to bring in an experienced Oracle SQL Developer to support reporting and data platform work within a legacy enterprise environment. This role will involve working closely with architects, data specialists and business stakeholders to help deliver reporting solutions and support data engineering work within an Oracle-based ecosystem. Responsibilities โ€ข Develop and optimise Oracle SQL and PL/SQL scripts to support reporting and data processing requirements โ€ข Work with data architects and engineers to help shape and deliver data models and reporting structures โ€ข Support the extraction, transformation and preparation of data for reporting and analytics use cases โ€ข Contribute to improving data quality and performance across Oracle data environments โ€ข Work with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate these into technical solutions โ€ข Collaborate with wider engineering teams working across data platforms and reporting tools Required Skills โ€ข Strong experience working with Oracle databases โ€ข Advanced SQL and PL/SQL development โ€ข Experience supporting enterprise reporting environments โ€ข Ability to work within complex legacy data ecosystems โ€ข Experience working with large-scale datasets โ€ข Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Desirable Experience โ€ข Experience working within large enterprise organisations โ€ข Exposure to data warehousing or dimensional modelling โ€ข Experience working with modern analytics platforms alongside Oracle environments โ€ข Experience working alongside data architects or consultancy teams
