Job Title: Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) SRE Support Engineer Location: Atlanta, GA (Onsite) Duration: 6 Months (Contract) Experience Level: 8+ Years Preferred Position Overview: We’re looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with strong Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) expertise to support, monitor, and optimize large-scale cloud environments. This role will focus on infrastructure reliability, monitoring automation, performance tuning, and observability within OCI, ensuring high availability and proactive incident response across mission-critical systems. You’ll work closely with engineering, DevOps, and operations teams to enhance OCI’s observability stack, improve automation, and build dashboards and alerts for proactive issue detection β€” particularly around Autonomous Database, Fusion SaaS, and OIC services. Key Responsibilities: β€’ Act as a primary SRE support resource for OCI-based environments, ensuring stability, uptime, and optimal performance. β€’ Manage and monitor core OCI services β€” Compute, Storage (Block, Object, File), Networking (VCNs, gateways), and Security. β€’ Implement and maintain observability, monitoring, and alerting frameworks using OCI native tools. β€’ Configure and automate OCI monitoring components including Alarms, Events, and Notifications. β€’ Set up Logging Services with Log Analytics, Connector Hub, and Streaming for real-time insights. β€’ Design and maintain custom OCI dashboards for: β€’ Autonomous Database monitoring β€’ Fusion SaaS and OIC application monitoring β€’ Integrate OCI logging with external SIEM tools (e.g., Google SecOps) and ensure effective data correlation. β€’ Enable Application Performance Monitoring (APM) for Fusion apps and document APM enablement processes. β€’ Develop and enhance incident response automation, root cause analysis (RCA), and performance optimization scripts. β€’ Collaborate with DevOps and Cloud Operations to ensure smooth deployments, patching, and rollbacks. β€’ Continuously improve system reliability, scalability, and observability through automation and proactive monitoring. Required Skills & Experience: β€’ Proven experience as an SRE or Cloud Support Engineer in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). β€’ Hands-on expertise with OCI Compute, Storage, Networking, and Observability components. β€’ Strong understanding of Docker and Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE) for container orchestration. β€’ Practical experience setting up monitoring frameworks, dashboards, alarms, and notifications in OCI. β€’ Deep knowledge of Log Analytics, Connector Hub, and Streaming services. β€’ Experience integrating OCI logging and monitoring with SIEM tools (Google SecOps, Splunk, etc.). β€’ Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Shell, Terraform preferred). β€’ Experience in incident management, root cause analysis, and system reliability improvements. β€’ Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications: β€’ Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Certified Architect (Professional/Associate). β€’ Prior experience in DevOps or Cloud Operations in enterprise environments. β€’ Familiarity with Fusion SaaS, OIC, and Autonomous Database monitoring. β€’ Exposure to APM enablement, performance analysis, and hybrid cloud environments.
