Job Summary
Client is seeking an experienced WAMS Data Migration Engineer to support the migration of data, configurations, and integrations from Oracle Utilities WAMS 1.9 to the WACs platform. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Oracle Utilities, SQL, ETL, Unix/Linux, and enterprise data migration projects.
Responsibilities
• Migrate data, configurations, and business objects from WAMS 1.9 to WACs.
• Analyze existing WAMS data structures and design migration strategies.
• Develop SQL queries, extraction scripts, and ETL processes.
• Perform data mapping, transformation, and validation.
• Build and maintain Shell/Unix scripts for automation.
• Troubleshoot migration and integration issues.
• Validate migrated data and resolve data quality issues.
• Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production deployment.
• Prepare migration documentation and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with business users, DBAs, developers, and infrastructure teams.
Required Skills
• 5+ years of experience with Oracle Utilities WAMS (preferably v1.9x).
• Experience with enterprise data migration projects.
• Strong SQL and relational database knowledge.
• ETL and data transformation experience.
• Unix/Linux and Shell scripting.
• Experience with CSV, XML, and JSON data formats.
• Knowledge of SFTP and secure file transfer processes.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills
• Experience migrating legacy applications to modern platforms.
• Oracle Cloud or Oracle Autonomous Database experience.
• Experience with cloud storage and integration services.
• Utility or municipal government project experience.
