This role requires someone who can operate in complex, fast-moving information environments, connect geopolitical and socio-political developments to real business risk, and produce clear, defensible intelligence assessments for decision-makers.
The ideal candidate has strong investigative tradecraft, excellent geopolitical analysis skills, and the ability to produce executive-ready intelligence products without relying on generative AI.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will conduct advanced OSINT investigations, monitor evolving narratives and actors, assess threat activity, and translate complex regional developments into clear business and operational risk insights.
Key responsibilities include:
• Conduct advanced OSINT investigations across Asian social media platforms, regional forums, messaging apps, and niche online communities.
• Monitor, analyze, and track evolving narratives, actors, and influence efforts across East, Southeast, and South Asian information environments.
• Translate vague or incomplete intelligence requirements into high-confidence, sourced analytic findings.
• Assess reputational, geopolitical, and socio-political threats and evaluate their potential impact on the organization and broader industry.
• Analyze the origin, motivation, intent, and evolution of threat actors and narratives within regional geopolitical and cultural contexts.
• Connect geopolitical developments, including regional conflicts, state actions, regulatory shifts, and social movements, to concrete operational and business risk.
• Produce clear, defensible intelligence assessments that synthesize complex information into structured analytic judgments.
• Present findings through executive-ready written products, briefings, and visually compelling presentations.
• Support time-sensitive intelligence requirements during fast-moving geopolitical events or emerging situations.
• Collaborate with other analysts to advance investigations, validate findings, and integrate insights across intelligence efforts.
• Participate in analytic reviews and lessons-learned sessions to refine sourcing strategies, methodologies, and tradecraft.
Required Experience
• 5+ years of hands-on experience conducting advanced OSINT investigations.
• Demonstrated experience monitoring and analyzing Asian social media platforms, forums, messaging apps, or regional online communities.
• Proven experience conducting attribution analysis, actor mapping, and narrative tracking across multiple sources.
• Prior experience producing executive-level written intelligence products and briefings.
• Demonstrated experience analyzing geopolitical developments and their downstream business or operational impact.
Required Skills
• Deep expertise in open-source intelligence collection and analysis, with emphasis on Asian social media and online ecosystems.
• Strong investigative tradecraft, including actor attribution, narrative analysis, and cross-platform correlation.
• Advanced analytical skills with the ability to extract meaningful signal from high-noise information environments.
• Strong geopolitical analysis capabilities, particularly within Asian regional contexts.
• Ability to clearly explain how geopolitical and socio-political developments translate into business and operational risk.
• Exceptional critical thinking skills, including the ability to challenge assumptions and assess competing explanations.
• Exceptional written communication skills and the ability to produce clear, executive-ready intelligence without reliance on generative AI.
• Strong briefing and presentation skills.
• Ability to translate complex intelligence into concise, decision-relevant insights.
• Comfort operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with shifting priorities.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively within an analyst team.
• Commitment to continuous learning, intellectual rigor, and analytic discipline.
Nice to Have
• Experience supporting intelligence requirements during rapidly evolving regional or global events.
• Language capabilities relevant to East, Southeast, or South Asian information environments.
• Experience working with corporate security, geopolitical risk, trust and safety, threat intelligence, or strategic risk teams.
• Familiarity with influence operations, disinformation analysis, or regional threat actor behavior.
