Role description
Rubicon Consulting is currently recruiting for a OT Cyber Consultant/Engineer on a 6 month contract based in Midlands. Role Summary A typical day may involve answering technical queries from product lines, configuring network components, listing and documenting cybersecurity solutions, and preparing or delivering training sessions. You’ll also collaborate with stakeholders, review technical documentation, and support ongoing cyber execution projects. β€’ Report to the Lead Execution Manager for Industrial Cyber Security. β€’ Hands-on support the Digital Products and Solutions team in achieving goals and setting cyber security strategy. β€’ Assist in the delivery of cybersecurity projects by validating existing technical documentation. β€’ Hands-on work in OT environments, including configuring networks, remote access solutions, and virtualization platforms. β€’ Provide customer cyber support and act as a point of contact for execution projects. β€’ Answer technical questions from Product Lines, including troubleshooting and solution listing. β€’ Write and perform training sessions for internal teams and customers. β€’ Support key business stakeholders in adopting new technologies. β€’ Develop and maintain technical partnerships with internal and external stakeholders or suppliers. β€’ Liaise with the internal ICS (Industrial Cyber Security) group on compliance and best practices. β€’ Support Cyber execution training and troubleshooting for Product Competence Centres. β€’ Maintain the cyber security lab in Warwick with monthly visits. β€’ Travel to customer sites globally (approx. 10% of the time). Requirements β€’ Experience as a control systems engineer or similar role, with knowledge of industrial applications in energy or oil & gas. β€’ Hands-on experience with cybersecurity implementation in OT environments. β€’ Familiarity with industrial cyber regulations, especially IEC 62443. β€’ Strong attention to detail and high-quality deliverables. β€’ Knowledge of remote connection solutions used in industry. β€’ Proven ability to write and manage technical documentation. β€’ Preferred certifications: GICSP or similar. β€’ Experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware). β€’ Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills for client-facing interactions.
