Payroll Data Reporting Analyst (Oracle SQL) Job Title: Payroll Data Reporting Analyst Location: Memphis, TN (Hybrid 2 days onsite per week) Overview We are seeking a Payroll Data Reporting Analyst to support ongoing reporting and data analysis needs within a payroll support environment. This role is heavily focused on SQL-based reporting, data accuracy, and helping internal business partners receive timely and reliable payroll-related data. The ideal candidate will have strong Oracle SQL experience, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to analyze large datasets and translate reporting requests into accurate technical solutions. Candidates must be local to the Memphis, TN area and able to work onsite approximately two days per week. Candidates willing to relocate to Memphis may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Fully remote candidates will not be considered. Key Responsibilities • Develop, modify, troubleshoot, and optimize Oracle SQL queries to support payroll reporting requests. • Review incoming reporting requests and determine whether new queries need to be created or existing reports can be leveraged. • Analyze large datasets to identify discrepancies, trends, and data quality issues. • Validate reporting accuracy and support compliance with internal reporting standards. • Collaborate with payroll support teams and business stakeholders to deliver timely reporting solutions. • Document queries, reporting processes, and audit trails as needed. • Help reduce operational risk through accurate, reliable, and efficient reporting support. Required Qualifications • Strong hands-on experience writing, modifying, and troubleshooting Oracle SQL queries. • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, and data manipulation. • Experience analyzing large datasets and translating business needs into reporting solutions. • Experience working with ticketing or request-management systems. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams. • Must be able to work a hybrid schedule in Memphis, TN. Preferred Qualifications • Payroll data or payroll reporting experience. • HRIS, workforce management, or related data/reporting experience. • PeopleSoft experience. • Experience supporting enterprise-level reporting environments. • Shared services or large corporate environment experience.
