People Data Analyst (Advanced Excel) - 6 Month Contract

Flexera is seeking a highly analytical People Data Analyst for a 6‑month contract engagement with exceptional Excel skills to support analysis, validation, and reporting of people data. This role is hands‑on and execution‑focused, centered on working directly with large datasets to produce accurate, structured, and repeatable analysis. This position is ideal for an Excel power user who enjoys working with complex data, applying logic and formulas, and ensuring data accuracy across recurring analyses. Key Responsibilities • Analyze and manipulate people data using advanced Excel techniques • Compile, clean, and validate large datasets from multiple files and sources • Identify data gaps, inconsistencies, and anomalies and resolve them through analysis • Compare datasets and reconcile differences using formula‑driven logic • Build and maintain Excel‑based models, templates, and recurring reports • Create summaries, pivots, and structured outputs to support internal reporting • Apply consistent rules, assumptions, and validation checks across datasets • Ensure accuracy, reliability, and consistency of all data outputs • Document formulas, assumptions, and logic to support repeatable analysis • Interpret the data and translate to recommended actions and outcomes • Translate data to compelling charts/visualizations to tell the story Required Skills • Advanced Microsoft Excel expertise, including: • XLOOKUP / VLOOKUP • IF, nested formulas, IFERROR • Pivot tables and pivot charts • Advanced filtering and conditional formatting • Large‑dataset comparison and reconciliation • Strong analytical and logical thinking skills • High attention to detail and data accuracy • Ability to independently structure and validate complex datasets • Comfort working in ambiguous or imperfect data environments
