Role description
The role The AVEVA PI Engineer will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and maintaining AVEVA PI systems to support real-time data collection, storage, and visualization for industrial operations. This role involves working closely with operations, IT, and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of PI infrastructure. Key responsibilities • Install, configure, and maintain AVEVA PI Server and related components. • Develop and manage PI tags, interfaces, and data flows from various sources (DCS, PLC, SCADA). • Implement PI Asset Framework (AF) and Event Frames for structured data modeling. • Create and maintain PI Vision dashboards and reports for operational insights. • Troubleshoot PI system issues and ensure high availability and data integrity. • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver PI-based solutions. • Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and data governance standards. What we’re looking for • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. • Hands-on experience with AVEVA PI System (formerly OSIsoft PI). • Strong knowledge of PI Data Archive, PI AF, PI Vision, and PI Interfaces. • Familiarity with industrial protocols (OPC, Modbus, MQTT). • Basic scripting skills (PowerShell, Python) for automation. • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
