Role description
Platform Security Architect | 12 month contract | Remote, USA | $60-$70p/h
β’ Please do not apply or reach out regarding C2C Engagements
β’ Weβre seeking a pragmatic Platform Security Architect with strong software engineering fundamentals to help us design, operationalize, and secure AI-enabled services as part of broader enterprise platforms.
This is not a deep AI/ML role. You donβt need to train models or build algorithms from scratch. Instead, youβll bring solid engineering judgment, integration expertise, and a security-first mindset to support AI use cases at scale.
What Youβll Do
β’ Design and integrate AI-enabled services into existing platforms and workflows
β’ Build and maintain robust APIs and async integrations across systems
β’ Operationalize services with strong CI/CD, environment separation, and versioning
β’ Secure workloads using modern IAM patterns and least-privilege principles
β’ Integrate third-party SaaS and cloud APIs safely and reliably
β’ Help move the organization from loosely controlled experimentation to scalable, governed platforms
Core Skills & Experience
β’ Strong software engineering background, particularly with Python
β’ API design and integration experience (REST, async workflows, OAuth/OIDC)
β’ CI/CD and DevOps experience (pipelines, deployment patterns, environment separation)
β’ Cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
β’ IAM and security engineering (workload identity, secrets management, least privilege)
β’ Experience integrating third-party SaaS or cloud-native APIs
β’ Basic familiarity with AI / LLM concepts is helpful, but deep AI expertise is not required
What This Role Is Not
β’ β Not an ML research role
β’ β Not a data scientist role
β’ β Not focused on training or tuning models
Who You Are
β’ A hands-on, pragmatic architect who balances best practices with real-world delivery
β’ Comfortable working across engineering, security, and platform teams
β’ Focused on making systems work reliably and securely, not building ivory-tower designs
β’ Flexible, adaptable, and able to evolve controls as adoption and maturity grow
If youβre an experienced platform or integration architect who enjoys enabling AI without being an AI researcher, weβd love to hear from you.
