Job Description:
Client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Platform Developer to drive the end-to-end design, development, and optimization of enterprise-wide ServiceNow solutions. The role requires deep technical expertise in ServiceNowโs core modules (ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, SecOps, etc.), advanced customization capabilities, and strong leadership in guiding development teams. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering scalable, secure, and business-aligned ServiceNow implementations that support critical enterprise functions.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Development & Customization
โข Lead the design, development, and enhancement of ServiceNow applications and modules, including IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), Customer Service Management (CSM), Human Resource Service Delivery (HRSD), Security Operations (SecOps), and other enterprise functions.
โข Architect and implement custom workflows, business rules, UI policies, client/server scripts, and advanced ServiceNow configurations tailored to organizational requirements.
โข Develop and maintain system integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, MID Servers, IntegrationHub, and third-party connectors to ensure seamless cross-platform communication.
Collaboration & Solution Design
โข Partner with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and translate them into robust technical solutions aligned with best practices.
โข Participate in design reviews and provide technical input on solution feasibility, scalability, and maintainability.
System Stability & Performance
โข Proactively monitor and maintain system performance, stability, and reliability by identifying and resolving bugs, bottlenecks, and optimization opportunities.
โข Implement automated testing frameworks, health dashboards, and performance tuning techniques to ensure a high-performing platform.
Governance, Standards & Compliance
โข Ensure strict adherence to coding standards, platform governance policies, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
โข Implement and enforce security protocols, data protection policies, and role-based access controls across the platform.
โข Support platform upgrades, patch management, and release cycles to ensure seamless adoption with minimal business disruption.
Leadership & Mentorship
โข Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to junior developers, fostering continuous learning and improvement.
โข Contribute to ServiceNow Center of Excellence (CoE) by defining best practices, reusable components, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
Agile Delivery
โข Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
โข Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of platform enhancements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
โข 7+ years of experience in ServiceNow development and administration with a strong focus on enterprise-scale implementations.
โข Proven expertise across multiple ServiceNow modules: ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, SecOps, and integrations.
โข Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, AngularJS, Jelly, HTML, CSS, and ServiceNow scripting frameworks.
โข Hands-on experience with IntegrationHub, Flow Designer, Orchestration, Service Portal, and Scoped Applications.
โข Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and enterprise integration tools (MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, etc.).
โข Deep understanding of ITIL processes, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and enterprise IT operations.
โข Demonstrated experience with platform upgrades, version migrations, and performance optimization.
โข Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Certifications
โข ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
