Job Description:
We re seeking a highly experienced Platform DevOps Engineer with deep expertise across Azure and Google Cloud (Google Cloud Platform). The ideal candidate will partner with architecture and engineering teams to define, automate, and evolve a multi-cloud platform that drives scalability, resilience, and developer productivity.
Core Responsibilities:
• Partner with architecture and DevOps teams on multi-cloud strategies (Azure & Google Cloud Platform) enhancing resiliency and availability.
• Build developer self-service golden path automation for repositories, CI/CD pipelines, and containers.
• Champion non-functional requirements (security, reliability, scalability, maintainability) across cloud solutions.
• Mentor engineers on Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex, multi-team challenges using data-driven root-cause analysis
Must-Have Skills:
• 14+ years in IT, with extensive DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure experience.
• Proven expertise designing reusable Terraform modules for both Azure and Google Cloud Platform (including PaaS).
• Strong understanding of multi-cloud networking (VPC, VNets, peering, private endpoints) automated via Terraform.
• Experienced managing Terraform state securely and implementing IaC testing (Terratest, Tftest).
• Proficient in scripting languages: PowerShell, Python, Bash.
• Hands-on with GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
• Cloud cost governance via tagging, budgets, and IaC policies.
• Embedded security controls using Checkov, tfsec, or similar scanning tools.
• Published and maintained Terraform modules in private registries.
• Strong background designing HA/DR patterns via IaC.
• Kubernetes GitOps expertise using Argo CD, Helm, and Kustomize.
• Knowledge of identity & secrets management (OIDC, Azure Key Vault, workload identity federation).
• Policy as Code experience (Azure Policy, OPA Rego, Gatekeeper, Kyverno).
• Familiarity with IaC observability and drift detection (Terraform Cloud, Spacelift, or custom solutions).
Nice-to-Have Skills:
• Terragrunt for complex Terraform orchestration.
• Experience with OpenTofu and migration from Terraform.
• Observability setup with OpenTelemetry (OTel Gateway/Router Collectors).
• Exposure to Kafka, GraphQL, Temporal, LaunchDarkly, SonarQube, or mobile app platforms (iOS/Android).
• Familiarity with Internal Developer Portals (e.g., Backstage).
• Experience with Pulumi or Crossplane.
• Strong grasp of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile practices.
Soft Skills & Culture:
• Curious, analytical, and proactive driven by understanding the why behind challenges.
• Self-starter with the ability to operate in ambiguous, multi-team environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills able to influence without authority.
