Role description
Job Title: Platform Installation Engineer Location: Remote Role Interview: Video Interview Description: Day to Day job Duties: (what this person will do on a daily/weekly basis) β€’ As a Platform Installation Engineer, your core responsibility is to ensure the efficient and complete installation and verification of AI Platform. This role requires practical experience operating within modern DevOps and version-controlled deployment workflows, ensuring platform installations can be monitored, maintained, and upgraded in a controlled and auditable manner. β€’ Making sure the SaaS AI platform is installed in the customer’s cloud-based tenant. β€’ Validating network connectivity of attached resources, Helm chart configuration and deployment, and log analysis. β€’ Testing and ensuring complete end-to-end functionality of the platform with test repositories. β€’ Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues encountered during implementation. β€’ Manage versioned deployments, updates, and rollback procedures using Git-based release workflows. β€’ Operate and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure long-term platform health. β€’ Collaborate with customer engineering teams to align deployment patterns with existing CI/CD pipelines and release governance policies. Basic Qualifications: (what are the skills required to this job with minimum years of experience on each) β€’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. β€’ Minimum 2+ years of experience in a technical implementation or solutions engineering role, preferably with a SaaS product. β€’ Minimum of 5 years’ experience planning, analyzing, designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining Army software applications. β€’ Minimum 8+ years of experience using GitLab for CI/CD and automated deployments β€’ Minimum 5+ in software development lifecycle (SDLC) practices and common source control workflows (e.g. Git branching strategies, pull requests, release versioning). Key Skills β€’ CI/CD tooling, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, Jenkins β€’ Programming proficiency in Python, R, and Java β€’ Knowledge of systems monitoring, alerting and analytics at the container level with APM or other tools, including Splunk, ELK, and Prometheus. β€’ Knowledge of IDAM requirements and technologies including Active Directory, SAML, OpenLDAP, hardware tokens, OAuth 2.0, and/or OIDC. Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related field Nice to Have; (But not a must) β€’ SaaS products
