Role description
Senior Teamcenter Developer
Location: UK / Europe
Working model: Hybrid
Contract: 6 to 12 months
Sector: Engineering / Manufacturing (PLM Transformation)
A leading consultancy has been engaged to deliver a large-scale Teamcenter migration and transformation programme for a complex engineering environment. This isnβt a lift-and-shift exercise, itβs a structured overhaul of legacy PLM into a modern, scalable Teamcenter landscape.
Youβll be joining an established delivery team with clear ownership across architecture, data, and integration. The consultancy is well embedded with the end client, so this is delivery work, not endless discovery workshops.
This contract focuses on designing and executing end-to-end migration strategies within Teamcenter. Youβll take ownership of data extraction, transformation, validation, and load processes, while building the tooling and automation needed to make the migration repeatable and robust.
The environment is heavily customised Teamcenter, working across TcUA with BMIDE configurations, ITK custom code, and integration layers using SOA and REST. Expect large datasets, legacy complexity, and the usual political noise that comes with PLM programmes. The job is to cut through that and deliver clean, accurate migration outcomes.
Youβll be responsible for building migration utilities, defining validation frameworks, resolving data and configuration issues, and ensuring system integrity throughout cutover. This is hands-on delivery, not governance or oversight.
Key Skills & Experience
β’ Strong hands-on experience with Teamcenter Unified Architecture (TcUA)
β’ Proven track record delivering Teamcenter data migrations end-to-end
β’ Solid experience with BMIDE configuration and deployment
β’ Development experience with ITK (C/C++), SOA, RAC or AWC customisation
β’ Strong capability in building migration tools using Java, C/C++ or scripting (Python/Shell)
β’ Experience with TcXML / PLMXML, data mapping and validation frameworks
β’ Strong SQL skills across Oracle or MSSQL, including performance tuning
β’ Ability to troubleshoot complex data, configuration, and integration issues
If youβve delivered Teamcenter migrations in anger and can operate without hand-holding, this is worth a conversation.
