Role Description This contract PLM Migration Specialist role is based in Plano, TX with a hybrid w model that allows some work-from-home flexibility. The specialist will plan, execute, and monitor PLM data migration activities, ensuring accurate and secure transfer of product data from legacy systems to target PLM platforms. Daily responsibilities include analyzing existing data structures, mapping and transforming data, configuring migration tools, and coordinating with cross-functional teams such as IT, engineering, and business stakeholders. The role also involves performing test migrations, validating data integrity, troubleshooting migration issues, and documenting processes, configurations, and lessons learned. The PLM Migration Specialist will contribute to continuous improvement of migration methodologies and support user acceptance testing and post-migration stabilization.
Qualifications
β’ Strong experience with Data Migration and Migration Projects, particularly in PLM environments.
β’ Hands-on expertise with Databases and data structures relevant to enterprise or engineering systems.
β’ Proficient Troubleshooting skills for identifying, analyzing, and resolving migration and integration issues.
β’ Demonstrated Analytical Skills to assess data quality, design mappings, and interpret complex technical and business requirements.
β’ Experience with PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill, Enovia, or similar) is highly desirable.
β’ Familiarity with scripting or ETL tools used for data extraction, transformation, and loading is a plus.
β’ Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
β’ Proven ability to work in a hybrid environment, manage time effectively, and deliver results within project timelines.
