Role description
We’re seeking a strategic and forward-thinking IT Portfolio Manager to join a core enterprise technology team supporting Strategic Businesses. This role will partner closely with CIOs and senior business leaders to shape and optimize enterprise technology investments across AI, data, cybersecurity, platform modernization, and digital transformation initiatives. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology strategy, governance, investment planning, and executive stakeholder management within a complex enterprise environment. What You’ll Do: • Manage and evolve a multi-year enterprise technology portfolio aligned to strategic business objectives • Drive portfolio prioritization, intake, investment planning, and governance • Partner with CIOs and business leaders to translate strategy into actionable roadmaps • Identify opportunities for standardization, scalability, and operational efficiency across platforms and initiatives • Define and track KPIs, portfolio performance metrics, and business impact • Partner with finance teams to evaluate investment cases, optimize spend, and measure value realization • Prepare executive-level reporting, dashboards, and portfolio updates for senior leadership • Facilitate discussions around priorities, trade-offs, and enterprise technology investments • Stay informed on emerging technologies including AI, data platforms, and automation tools to help shape portfolio strategy What We’re Looking For: • 5–8 years of experience managing enterprise technology initiatives within Insurance or Financial Services • Strong portfolio management, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement experience • Strong PowerPoint and executive presentation skills with the ability to translate complex data into leadership-ready insights • Experience working across enterprise technology, business, and finance stakeholders • Strong understanding of software development, infrastructure, AI, and emerging technologies • Highly proficient using AI productivity tools such as OpenAI ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, and Anthropic Claude • Experience with tools such as Jira and Microsoft Office 365 • Product Owner and/or Business Analyst experience is a plus • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
