Job Description: Post-Market Surveillance (PMS) Data Analyst
Position Overview
The Post-Market Surveillance (PMS) Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing post-market, complaint, and quality data to identify emerging product trends and support regulatory and quality compliance. This role leads data-driven PMS activities, delivers actionable insights to cross-functional stakeholders, and ensures timely, accurate, and compliant reporting of post-market findings.
The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, advanced Excel proficiency, and experience working with complaint or PMS data—preferably within the medical device or other regulated industries.
Core Responsibilities
• Compile, trend, and analyze post-market surveillance data to identify early indicators of product quality or safety issues.
• Execute complaint data queries and perform ad hoc analyses to support investigations and decision-making.
• Lead recurring Post-Market Surveillance Review Boards, presenting data-driven findings, trends, and recommendations.
• Prepare and maintain PMS reports, dashboards, and summaries for leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness of PMS and complaint data.
• Support departmental metrics, KPIs, and broader organizational quality objectives.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in PMS analytics, reporting, and data-trending processes.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (required).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, functions, and trend analysis).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present data to leadership.
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience working with cross-functional stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in the medical device, healthcare, or regulated product industries.
• Experience processing medical device or pharmaceutical complaints.
• Power BI experience for data visualization and reporting.
• Working knowledge of medical device quality system regulations (e.g., 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485).
• Background in statistics or applied statistical analysis.
