<<<W2 Contract Position>>> An international IT service & solutions provider is seeking a technically skilled PostgreSQL Database Analyst with Application Support experience in Liberty NC area to ensure stability, reliability, and high performance across our mission-critical applications. This role demands a deep understanding of application architecture, strong PostgreSQL capabilities, and solid networking fundamentals. Key Responsibilities: Gather requirements to fill the needs of development and improve the existing systems. Execute tasks related to production processes for a production line IT system, including monitoring and troubleshooting applications and databases connecting with production equipment and optimizing workflows. Partner with internal business teams including production engineering team to understand requirements and optimize workflows using a production line IT system. Participate in cross-functional meetings to align with system architecture and performance goals. Prioritize against engaged priorities and collaborate across IT teams and internal business teams to deliver on business objectives. Support a mission-critical systems using mature IT and engineering practices Monitor application/database performances and optimize process to ensure efficient operation Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency of business processes that work with the implemented technologies. Provide technical expertise and support to enhance the reliability and scalability of production systems. Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for a production line IT system. Generate reports on daily activities, system performances and meetings. Perform job functions that may include sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 25 lbs., and using vision and hearing capabilities. Carry out other duties as assigned to support ongoing projects. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Strong understanding of database architecture, management, and security principles. Proficiency in PostgreSQL, including advanced query optimization techniques. Exposure to Operational Technologies (OT) applications (Including SCADA, PLCs, and other technologies) Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Familiar with the foundation of IT networking Be able to develop web applications 5 days onsite in Liberty REQUIRED Preferred Qualifications: Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
