Job Title: Power BI Analyst
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Hybrid) Duration: 6-Month Contract
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Power BI Analyst to design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards supporting IT business operations. This role focuses on delivering data-driven insights across multiple IT functional areas, including service management, data centers, telecom, networking, cloud infrastructure, identity management, radio networks, and endpoint management.
The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, hands-on Power BI expertise, and the ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to translate data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards aligned with business needs
Integrate data from multiple sources while ensuring accuracy and consistency
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand reporting and analytics requirements
Monitor, optimize, and enhance dashboard performance and usability
Create and maintain documentation for data models, sources, and BI processes
Perform testing and validation to ensure data quality and report reliability
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field
Proven experience as a Power BI Analyst or in a similar BI/analytics role
Strong proficiency in Power BI, including DAX and Power Query
Experience with data modeling, data integration, and database management
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with additional BI tools such as Tableau or Qlik
Proficiency in SQL or other data querying languages
Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices
Experience working with public sector or municipal data environments
