About the Role
Our client is seeking a Power BI Applications Architect Lead to support business intelligence initiatives, including backend development, dashboard creation, data modeling, Microsoft Fabric components, and user training. This role requires strong experience with the Microsoft BI ecosystem and the ability to collaborate with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
Essential Responsibilities
Design and develop Power BI data visualizations
Create and maintain Power BI Dataflows (Gen 1 and Gen 2)
Develop functional and technical BI documentation
Communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical users
Provide training for end users and staff
Collaborate with business and IT teams to define BI requirements
Participate in design sessions, workshops, and project meetings
Required Qualifications
Bachelorβs degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience (5 years)
1β5 years clarifying system and program intent
1β5 years identifying problems, recommending solutions, and determining system changes
5 years advanced Microsoft Power BI experience (Desktop/Server, DAX, SQL)
3 years experience with Microsoft Fabric Dataflows, Pipelines, Apps
5 years experience in Microsoft SQL stack (SQL Server, SSMS, SSIS, SSAS, Azure Data Platform)
5 years analytical, conceptual, problem-solving, communication, and user-training experience
Preferred Qualifications
2 years Power Platform experience (Automate, Power Apps)
1 year working with K-12 education data and district staff
3 years working independently and with strong team collaboration
