THE OPPORTUNITY: Our client is a growing CPG brand seeking an Interim Power BI Consultant to support reporting, analytics, and data visualization initiatives. This role is designed to help transform raw data into clear, actionable insights for finance and business stakeholders. The consultant will partner closely with finance, operations, and leadership teams to design and enhance dashboards, improve reporting efficiency, and support data-driven decision-making. This engagement is well-suited for a hands-on Power BI professional who can quickly assess existing data structures and deliver impactful reporting solutions. This is a consulting role with flexibility in structure and duration based on project needs. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support financial and operational reporting. • Translate business and finance requirements into intuitive data visualizations and analytical views. • Partner with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and refine metrics, KPIs, and dashboards. • Integrate and model data from multiple source systems to ensure consistency and accuracy. • Improve performance, usability, and scalability of existing Power BI reports and datasets. • Support ad hoc analysis and reporting requests from finance and leadership teams. • Document data models, calculations, and reporting logic to support long-term usability. • Provide guidance and best practices to internal users to improve adoption and self-service reporting. REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field. • Proven experience designing and delivering dashboards and reports using Power BI. • Strong understanding of data modeling, DAX, and report performance optimization. • Experience working with financial and operational data sets. • Ability to translate complex data into clear, decision-ready insights for non-technical stakeholders. • Comfortable operating in an interim, consulting capacity with limited ramp time. • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of data accuracy and integrity. • Experience working with multiple data sources and large datasets.
