Job Title : Power BI Developer Work Type: Contract Location: Columbia, SC Job Role: Hybrid(3 days onsite) Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer / Data Visualization Consultant to support agency-wide analytics initiatives. This role focuses on developing advanced data visualization products, designing robust data models, and mentoring junior developers while ensuring seamless integration with backend systems and agency platforms. Key Responsibilities: • Analyze, design, develop, test, implement, modify, and upgrade data visualization and reporting solutions. • Develop advanced Power BI dashboards, KPIs, and visual analytics for executive and program-level decision-making • Design and maintain data models supporting accurate fiscal-year calculations, reporting, and auditing • Support integration and monitoring of backend system processes and solutions • Troubleshoot, remediate, and resolve system and customer-reported issues • Produce monthly architecture snapshots, including workflow diagrams, backend schemas, and operational documentation • Maintain and update technical documentation, system definitions, and data dictionaries • Mentor junior developers and promote best practices in data visualization and documentation Required Skills: • 3+ years of experience developing dashboards and reports using Power BI • 3+ years of experience creating and maintaining technical documentation • 1+ year of experience supporting project management activities • 1+ year of experience with data modeling Preferred Skills: • Experience applying graphic design principles to data visualization • Experience using Python • Experience working with SQL Education Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience
