Microsoft Engineer
Location: Detroit, MIDuration: 12 Months ContractPay: $60-65/hr W2 ONLY, NO C2C
Key Responsibilities:Power Platform Development
Design, develop, and maintain applications using Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven).
Build interactive dashboards and data models in Power BI to provide actionable insights.
Create automated workflows and integrations using Power Automate to streamline business processes.
Integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, and other enterprise systems.
Ensure solutions follow governance, security, and best-practice standards.
Business Collaboration & Process Improvement:
Partner with various business unit leaders and subject matter experts to gather requirements and understand operational workflows.
Learn and document business practices related to safety, compliance, and operational procedures.
Translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce manual work, and enhance data visibility.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging data analytics and automation.
Safety & Operational Excellence Focus:
Develop tools that track safety metrics, inspections, incident reporting, and compliance activities.
Collaborate with safety teams to improve reporting accuracy and visibility.
Analyze operational data to identify trends and recommend process enhancements.
Support initiatives that promote a culture of safety and accountability.
Support & Continuous Improvement:
Provide user training, documentation, and ongoing technical support.
Monitor performance of applications and workflows to ensure reliability.
Recommend enhancements based on user feedback and evolving business needs.
Stay current on Microsoft Power Platform updates and emerging best practices.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience with:
Power Apps
Power BI
Power Automate
Strong understanding of data modeling, relational data structures, and reporting best practices.
Experience collaborating directly with business stakeholders across multiple departments.
Ability to quickly learn new business processes, especially in safety-focused or operational environments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in manufacturing, industrial, operations, or safety-driven environments.
Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or process improvement methodologies.
Knowledge of SharePoint, Dataverse, SQL, or Azure services.
Experience supporting governance and security standards within the Power Platform.
