Power BI Developer

Role: Power BI Developer Location: Alpharetta, GA (Onsite) Duration: 12+ Months Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer with a strong background in business intelligence, data modeling, and dashboard/report development. The ideal candidate will also have hands-on experience leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services for data integration and analytics. This role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to deliver impactful insights and scalable reporting solutions. Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports using DAX, Power Query, and advanced visualization techniques. • Design and implement data models and ETL/ELT pipelines for efficient reporting and analytics. • Integrate and analyze data from various GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub. • Optimize datasets and reports for performance, scalability, and usability. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into actionable insights. • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security throughout the reporting lifecycle. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field. • 3–6 years of experience as a Power BI Developer or in a similar BI role. • Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, and Power Query. • Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, etc.). • Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. • Experience in data modeling, ETL/ELT design, and performance tuning. • Strong understanding of data visualization best practices and UX principles. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills: • Experience with other BI/Analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Qlik). • Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis and automation. • Understanding of CI/CD practices for BI report deployment. • Knowledge of cloud security, IAM roles, and compliance within GCP environments.
