Role description
This position supports agency-wide Power BI initiatives, focusing on advanced dashboard development, fiscal-year reporting accuracy, and data visualization for executive decision-making. The contractor will also mentor junior developers and support public health infrastructure initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, test, and support Power BI dashboards
• Create data models, KPIs, and fiscal/expenditure rollups
• Build monthly snapshot architectures with workflow diagrams and backend schemas
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, data dictionaries, and definitions
• Collaborate with analysts, systems integration teams, and program stakeholders
• Support Tableau and Power BI applications and ensure integration with EDM and GIS systems
Required Skills
• 3+ years of Power BI development
• 3+ years of technical documentation
• 1+ year of project management experience
• 1+ year of data modeling
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Skills
• SQL
• Python
