This role requires strong end-to-end production reporting experience, with deep expertise in Power Query (M), DAX, data modelling, and report UX/design, alongside practical experience with Microsoft Fabric and its integration with Power BI. The successful candidates will not only deliver high-quality, scalable reporting solutions but will also help drive best practices, maintain strong documentation standards, and support the upskilling of analysts and developers across the organisation. Key Responsibilities • Design and deliver end-to-end Power BI solutions, from data preparation through to production-ready dashboards. • Build efficient, scalable semantic models using Power Query (M) and best-practice DAX. • Apply strong UX and data visualisation principles to create clear, consistent, and user-friendly reports. • Ensure performance optimisation and scalability of Power BI solutions across enterprise environments. • Work effectively with Microsoft Fabric components (including Lakehouse, Dataflows, and semantic models) as part of modern data architecture. • Produce clear and concise documentation covering datasets, measures, models, and reporting logic. • Promote Power BI best practices across modelling, DAX development, and report design standards. • Support and coach analysts and developers, providing guidance, quality assurance, and knowledge sharing. Core Experience (Must-Have) • Proven end-to-end Power BI development experience in production environments. • Strong hands-on expertise in Power Query (M) for data transformation and shaping. • Advanced DAX skills with a focus on clean, maintainable, and optimised solutions. • Strong experience in data visualisation and UX-driven report design. • Practical understanding of Microsoft Fabric and its integration with Power BI. • Strong documentation discipline across datasets, models, and reporting outputs. • Experience supporting, coaching, and upskilling Power BI users and developers. Desirable Experience • Insurance, financial services, or other regulated industry experience. • Exposure to modern data platforms such as Azure Data Services or similar cloud ecosystems. • Experience working in Agile delivery environments with cross-functional teams. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking insurance organisation and play a key role in shaping modern, scalable, and user-focused analytics solutions.
