Power BI Developer (contract)

Summary The IT Metrics & Analytics team works with other technology teams to deliver business intelligence and predictive analytics insights across the NT IT and corporate data landscape. This service enables simplified access across commonly needed datasets throughout the IT organization and beyond. The team works in an Agile fashion to deliver value to our clients quickly and incrementally. The Cloud Security Team, with IT Metrics & Analytics, seeks an experienced, data focused, full life-cycle PowerBI developer to create Cyber Security themed dashboards as part of the IT Metrics & Analytics team to own the development of metrics around Cloud Security Policy Management and Exceptions. This role will work closely with our Cloud Security Team to deliver metrics around cloud security policy management. The position will be embedded with the IT Metrics & Analytics (ITMA) team, leveraging the existing ITMA data platform and support its evolution over time. This role will work with our Cloud Security team to document requirements, design solutions according to ITMA standards, extract the required data to create the analytic models and perform analyses, and present findings to business leaders. The NT Strategy + IT Strategy will always guide ITMA to provide visibility into the right information for IT Leadership and other internal NT clients to deliver on their plans. Responsibilities The new Cloud Security PowerBI Developer will: • Foster a collaborative environment between Cloud Security and the ITMA team. • Rapidly and effectively adapt to highly dynamic and fast-paced work environment. • Solution and build Cloud Security dashboards using PowerBI. • Ensure all ITMA implementations adhere to all relevant NT IT Risk and Control Standards ensuring all cybersecurity and other risks are properly managed. • Document metric and dashboard requirements, and ensure outcomes meet those requirements. • Research and advise on technical options regarding decisions related to Cloud Security metrics, the supporting data platform and/or BI Tool decisions. • Carry out complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous issues. • Display a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity. • Assist internal customers with acceptance and adoption of implemented solutions to transition to an operating model that will deliver value from the analytics solution. Skills & Experience • 4+ years of building and supporting PowerBI dashboards • Excellent SQL Skills including complex queries and stored procedure experience • 2+ years of business analysis experience and able to demonstrate the ability to draw requirements from non-technical team members • 2+ years of visual design for complex dashboards • Experience pulling data through SaaS API’s for metrics • Working knowledge of full stack technology solutions with a focus on data • Understanding of Cloud/Cloud Security and its metrics and measurements is a plus • Curious, highly flexible and adaptable to change • Familiar with Azure, AWS and supporting guardrails (Azure Policy, CSPM, SCP’s) • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required • Strong project management skills • Ability to capture and define requirements, and align deliverables to those requirements Pay Rate Range 70 - 80 USD hourly Additional Notes The above listed pay range is a good faith estimate of what the employer reasonably expects to pay for this position.
