Role description
Power BI Developer / Data Dashboard Specialist Location: Lebanon, IN (Onsite 3+ days/week) We are seeking a hands-on Power BI Developer / Data Dashboard Specialist to support the manufacturing site in building, standardizing, and scaling high-quality data visualizations across operations, quality, compliance, and supply chain functions. This role is ideal for someone who not only builds dashboards but also helps establish governance, consistency, and adoption of Power BI as a core decision-support tool across the site. Key Responsibilities Dashboard Development & Reporting • Build new Power BI dashboards and reports supporting LP1 manufacturing operations, quality, HSE, compliance, and supply chain/scheduling functions • Localize and tailor global/enterprise Power BI reports to meet site-specific requirements and data sources • Design intuitive, user-friendly dashboards that enable self-service analytics and reduce ad hoc reporting requests Power BI Governance & Standards • Own and maintain the site Power BI App Directory within SharePoint • Define and implement Power BI development standards, including: • Reusable templates and theme files • Naming conventions • Data modeling patterns • Documentation standards • Establish a structured dashboard lifecycle process, including: • Intake and prioritization • Design review checkpoints • User acceptance testing (UAT) • Controlled promotion from development to production environments Stakeholder Engagement • Partner with cross-functional teams (operations, quality, HSE, supply chain, IT) to gather requirements and define KPIs • Translate business questions into clear, actionable dashboard solutions • Facilitate discussions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Adoption & Enablement • Deliver end-user training and onboarding to drive adoption of Power BI solutions • Support users in developing basic self-service reporting capabilities • Ensure dashboards are actively used and embedded in business processes Data & Technical Collaboration • Work closely with data engineering and IT teams on data connectivity, refresh schedules, and access governance • Collaborate on integrating common manufacturing data sources (e.g., SQL, MES/Syncade, SAP, historian systems) • Ensure data reliability and consistency across reporting solutions Skills & Qualifications • Strong hands-on expertise with Power BI, including: • Data modeling • DAX • Report and dashboard design • Power BI Service publishing and workspace management • Proven experience building reporting standards, templates, and governance frameworks (not just standalone dashboards) • Strong ability to gather requirements and translate business needs into analytical solutions • Experience working in manufacturing or regulated (GxP) environments strongly preferred • Familiarity with manufacturing data systems such as SQL databases, MES/Syncade, SAP, or historian systems • Strong communication skills with ability to engage non-technical stakeholders effectively • Ability to train users and support analytics adoption across teams • Highly organized with strong documentation practices • Self-directed and capable of managing multiple competing dashboard requests across business functions Brooksource is an equal opportunity employer that does not discriminate on the basis of actual or perceived race, color, creed, religion, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, age, sex or gender (including pregnancy, childbirth, lactation and related medical conditions), gender identity or gender expression, sexual orientation, marital status, military service and veteran status, physical or mental disability, protected medical condition as defined by applicable state or local law, genetic information, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state, or local laws and ordinances.
