Role description
PowerBI Developer – PowerBI, Report Developer, Reporting Developer, Developer, SQL, DAX, Python, Finance Reports, Financial Reports, Netsuite - £400 - £500 per day - Outside IR35 – UK Remote
Our end user client is seeking an experienced Power BI Developer to join them on a contract basis and develop financial reports from their NetSuite platform. NetSuite experience is not essential for this role but would be beneficial.
The role can be completed on a fully remote basis in the UK and will be outside IR35.
Responsibilities:
• Design and develop a suite of finance and management reporting dashboards in Power BI using data from our newly implemented NetSuite ERP and wider ERP systems.
• Build reporting to support our Standard Costing model and associated financial analysis.
• Deliver practical Power BI training to Finance and FP&A teams, helping improve report development capability and user adoption.
• Support the wider rollout of self-service reporting across the business by promoting best practice and enabling business users.
• Work closely with our Data Engineering team to help shape and validate semantic models that support scalable reporting.
• Assist with ad hoc analytical projects and reporting enhancements as required.
Essential Experience:
• Extensive experience designing and developing Power BI solutions, particularly for Finance and FP&A.
• Strong DAX and data modelling expertise.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience translating business requirements into intuitive, high-quality reporting solutions.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting concepts and KPIs.
Desirable Experience:
• Experience working with NetSuite, including its underlying data structures.
• SQL development experience.
• Python experience for data analysis or automation.
• Experience using AI tools to accelerate report development, data modelling or analytics.
• Knowledge of Standard Costing.
• Experience working alongside Data Engineering teams and developing semantic models.
Location: UK Remote
