Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to join our data analytics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and advanced analytics, with experience in cloud platforms and big data technologies. The Power BI Developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into effective visualizations and insights, leveraging tools such as Microsoft SQL Server, Azure Data Lake, and Looker. A solid background in programming languages like Python, SQL, and Shell Scripting is essential to optimize data workflows and automate reporting processes.
Duties
Design, develop, and deploy Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights for various business units.
Integrate data from multiple sources including AWS, Hadoop, Oracle, and SQL Server to create comprehensive data models.
Develop and maintain ETL pipelines using tools such as Informatica, Talend, and Apache Hive to ensure accurate and timely data processing.
Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to optimize database design and improve data warehouse architecture.
Implement RESTful APIs for seamless integration of external data sources into reporting solutions.
Perform analysis of large datasets using Spark, Hadoop, and Big Data technologies to identify trends and patterns.
Conduct model training and analysis to support predictive analytics initiatives.
Automate workflows through scripting in Bash (Unix shell), Shell Scripting, VBA, or Python to enhance efficiency.
Apply Agile methodologies for project management and continuous improvement of analytics solutions.
Stay updated on emerging technologies such as Looker, Azure Data Lake, Apache Spark, and Linked Data to recommend innovative solutions.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role with a strong portfolio of dashboards and reports.
Proficiency in SQL Server, Oracle, Azure Data Lake, Hadoop, Spark, and Big Data ecosystems.
Hands-on experience with ETL tools such as Informatica or Talend; familiarity with RESTful API development is a plus.
Strong programming skills in Python, VBA, Bash (Unix shell), or Shell Scripting for automation tasks.
Knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS and Azure for data storage and processing.
Experience with data warehouse design principles and database modeling techniques.
Familiarity with analytics tools like Looker or similar BI platforms is desirable.
Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets into clear insights.
Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies for project execution.
