Job Title: Power BI Developer

Pay Range: $45-$55/hr on w2

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Power BI Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building executive dashboards and reports from scratch, writing DAX and M queries, and integrating data from various sources. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to translate business requirements into effective data visualizations.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
β’ Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements.
β’ Build data models and write DAX/M queries to support reporting needs.
β’ Optimize Power BI solutions for performance and usability.
β’ Integrate data from multiple sources including Excel, SharePoint, and cloud platforms.
β’ Implement row-level security and manage workspace permissions.
β’ Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI reports and data refreshes.
β’ Document processes, data models, and report logic for future reference.
Required Qualifications:
β’ Proven experience with Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power Query.
β’ Proficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and M (Power Query Formula Language).
β’ Experience building dashboards and reports from scratch.
β’ Solid understanding of data modeling concepts (e.g., star schema, normalization).
β’ Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
β’ Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
β’ Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established reporting standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ 1β3 years of hands-on experience with Power BI in a professional setting.
β’ Experience working with SQL Server, Excel, and SharePoint as data sources.
β’ Ability to create user-friendly dashboards for operations, finance, or customer service teams.
β’ Familiarity with Power Automate and Power Apps.
β’ Background in business analysis or data analytics.
β’ Experience integrating dashboards into web portals or internal tools.
β’ Ability to work with large datasets and optimize performance using aggregations or incremental refresh.
β’ Demonstrated ability to train end-users or create documentation for dashboard usage.
β’ Ability to explain complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
