Role description
Position Overview Manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Power BI Dashboard Developer to support operational and reliability reporting initiatives at its Mansfield, Ohio facility. This individual will work onsite with plant leadership, engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to design, build, and enhance Power BI dashboards that consolidate manufacturing, quality, productivity, financial, and reliability data into actionable visual reporting tools. This role is highly collaborative and hands-on, focused on improving operational visibility and reducing the manual effort currently required to gather and analyze plant performance data. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, integrating data from SAP and other internal systems, and translating business needs into intuitive dashboards for plant leadership and frontline teams. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards for manufacturing operations, shift performance, and maintenance reliability initiatives • Consolidate data from multiple internal systems into centralized reporting views and operational dashboards • Build interactive dashboards supporting: • Quality metrics • Productivity tracking • Financial performance • OEE and operational KPIs • Reliability and maintenance analytics • Partner with shift leaders, technical leaders, engineers, and maintenance personnel to gather requirements and improve reporting visibility • Create dashboard functionality using filters, drilldowns, dropdown selections, and user-friendly navigation • Integrate and organize data sourced from SAP and other manufacturing systems • Help transition manual Excel-based reporting processes into automated Power BI reporting solutions • Support reliability reporting initiatives including: • Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) • Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) • Maintenance and asset performance tracking • Collaborate with internal SAP super users and engineering resources to understand plant systems and data structures • Recommend reporting improvements and identify opportunities for additional dashboard automation and optimization • Ensure compliance with strict internal security and access protocols Required Qualifications • Strong hands-on experience developing dashboards and reports in Microsoft Power BI • Experience integrating data from ERP systems such as SAP • Ability to work with large operational datasets and translate business requirements into meaningful visualizations • Experience building dashboards for manufacturing, operations, maintenance, or industrial environments • Strong understanding of KPI reporting, operational metrics, and data visualization best practices • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with onsite teams • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
