Role description
Power BI Developer – Power BI, Power BI Consultant, Power BI Developer, Business Intelligence, BI Developer, Business Intelligence Developer, DAX, Power Platform, Power Apps, Power Automate, D365, F&O, Finance & operations, dynamics 365, finance, Azure data lake, FO, – UK – Hybrid– Hertfordshire - £400-£450 per day (Inside IR35)
Our client is looking for Power BI Developer to join them on a contract basis. The purpose of this role is to design and develop Business Intelligence solutions using data from Microsoft Dynamics 365 to deliver reporting and analysis to internal head office staff using Power BI and Microsoft Azure.
This will be a hybrid role requiring 1-2 days per week on site in Hertforshire
Key Skills & Experience:
• 3+ years’ experience as a Power BI Developer
• Power BI (Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Datasets, Dataflows, DAX, M, Power Query)
• 2+ years experience with D365 F&O
• Demonstrable experience of Power BI, Power Platform and licensing
• Understanding of finance and accounting
• Understanding and experience using Azure Data Lake
• Finance Reports development expertise
• Translate complicated strategies
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Project Operations experience desired but not essential
Main Responsibilities:
• Building reports on top of D365 Finance
• Power BI Design, Development, and build, including shared Datasets, Dataflows and Dashboards
• Feed requirements into the Business Solutions team as required for new reporting / BI functionality
• Querying data from Azure Data Lake
• Documentation of reports and BI solutions
• Develop calculations in DAX
• Working with clients to gather and translate requirements
• Utilise the navigation feature of Power BI – bookmarks, drill through etc to help readers understand
Location: UK Hybrid / Hertforshire
