Role description
Primary Responsibilities:
The Implementation Analyst is responsible for designing and developing interactive reports and dashboards in Power BI for clients throughout project lifecycle. This position will work closely with both clients and internal teams to support project goals and ultimately make each implementation a success. The Implementation Analyst will support reporting and dashboarding initiatives between internal teams, client teams, and leadership to ensure client requirements are met.
- Translate complex business requirements into technical tasks and create compelling, data-driven reports and dashboards.
- Build and maintain data models, connect to various data sources, and perform Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to prepare data for analysis.
- Design and develop interactive and visually engaging Power BI reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Utilize DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for advanced calculations and to create sophisticated data models and reports.
- Implement row-level security and manage application security to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, explain data insights, and provide training and support.
- Monitor, optimize, and maintain the performance of Power BI solutions and data pipelines
Job Requirements: Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or MIS or related field from accredited program and some experience or High School + min 4 years relevant experience is required.
Technical Skills:
- Power BI: Proficiency in Power BI Desktop for report and dashboard development.
- DAX: Expertise in Data Analysis Expressions for complex calculations.
- SQL: Strong knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
Analytical Skills:
- Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate it into meaningful visuals and reports.
- Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to identifying and resolving data-related challenges
Soft Skills:
- Communication: Excellent ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and gather requirements from stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Experience working effectively in teams with business analysts, data engineers, and other developers.
